cruel summer
It's so hot I can feel my brain frying inside my head. There are times I think I'm a night owl out of self-defense - like an animal, I choose to sleep during the hottest times of the day and then crawl out when it's cool and comfortable. Then again, I am so fond of my sleep that it has become practically legendary in our family. You're so weird, Freakchild said to me, disgustedly, when I flaked out on her the other week to catch up on my sleep. You don't sleep, you go into a freaking coma.My nights have been full so far, this Holy Week. Monday night I went to MB and PK's grad party, last night I met up with an old highschool friend because she was leaving for NY the next morning and then went to Laya's office right after that, and tonight I'm going out with the KL group to watch a movie and have dinner. My father is getting used to coming home and seeing Freakchild and I dressed up for a night on the town - so used to it, in fact, that now he just passes over the car keys and heads wordlessly up to his room to take a shower and crash.
On the other hand, I just found out that I won't be able to spend May as a vacation month, as I'd planned. So long Boracay, fare thee well Puerto Galera, a possible good bye to the roadtrip down to La Union that my cousins and I were planning - this week looks like it's all the vacation I'm going to get for now. Apparently I'll be working this May - a bummer, but there is a potentially big payoff in the end so I caved and said yes. The payoff includes shopping, so I figure one month of working won't be that bad.
If it is, then everybody can point and laugh and tell me Told you so!
